The short version
SecureThreats’ site code does not set cookies or include analytics, advertising pixels or behavioral tracking scripts. The quiz keeps answers only in memory in your browser. Pagefind search works locally from a downloaded site index. This does not mean a web visit creates no technical records: the hosting provider may process request logs to deliver and protect the site.
Ordinary visits and hosting logs
When you request a page or asset, the hosting infrastructure receives the information needed to handle the request. This may include an IP address, requested URL, time, browser or device information, referrer and response or security details. The host may process logs for delivery, reliability, abuse prevention and security under its own arrangements and policies.
We do not promise that these infrastructure records are anonymous or never retained. This page does not invent a retention period or a data location for the host. Do not place sensitive personal information in a URL or assume that private-browsing mode hides a request from hosting infrastructure.
The security quiz
Quiz answers are held in browser memory only to calculate category suggestions. The quiz does not send answers to SecureThreats, a vendor or a remote scoring service, and does not write them to cookies, local storage or a database. It does not put answers into the page URL.
Restarting clears the answers and form state. Leaving the quiz page clears its state; refreshing starts a new quiz. Suggestions are based on simple rules, not a profile stored about you. You may skip the quiz entirely.
Local site search
Pagefind downloads search index files and runs matching in your browser. Search does not send each typed term to a third-party search or analytics service. Loading the index still creates ordinary hosting requests for those files.
If you open or share a URL containing a query parameter, that URL may be visible to recipients and may be processed in hosting request logs. Use general search terms rather than names, passwords, account details or other private information.
Comparison links and URL parameters
The comparison picker uses URL parameters to represent selected tools so a comparison can be shared. Those parameters are visible in the address bar, browser history and copied links. Anyone receiving the link can see the selected tools; the host may also receive the parameters when the page is requested.
A comparison URL is not a private document. Do not add sensitive information to it. Selecting a tool is not an account, enrollment, purchase or consent to be contacted by that vendor.
Contacting us by email
If you voluntarily email the contact address, the message includes your sender address and whatever name, message or attachments you choose to supply. That information is handled by the email providers involved and, once received, may be used to respond, check a reported error and maintain related correspondence.
There is no contact-form collection service on this site. Do not send passwords, security codes, Social Security numbers, payment details or identity documents. See the contact page for safe-message guidance. No response time or delivery guarantee is implied.
External vendors and affiliate links
Links to products and official help take you to separate websites. Those operators have their own cookies, analytics, privacy practices and terms. Review their policies before providing information or installing software. SecureThreats does not control those practices.
No affiliate URLs are currently configured. If affiliate links are added later, vendors or affiliate networks may process referral information when a link is followed, under their own policies. We would update the affiliate disclosure and relevant notices.
Children and sensitive information
The directory can help adults understand family safety tools, but does not ask children to submit personal details or create accounts. The quiz’s household choices are general and remain in memory. Do not email a child’s private records or use comparison URLs to share sensitive family information.
Questions and changes
You can raise a privacy question through the contact page. If site functionality changes—for example, adding a form, analytics or affiliate links—this policy should be updated to reflect the actual implementation. The date above identifies this version, not a guarantee that external providers’ policies remain unchanged.
